VIXX is a top idol group that is known for their ability to constantly produce catchy melodic music with their soft vocals and Ravi’s dynamic rapping. The boys’ latest endeavor, Zelos, is a four track min-album that showcases more of their ever-evolving music taste with each song. The album contains both fast paced pop tracks and mellow R&B tones to delight your ears.
Track 1 – 다이너마이트 (Dynamite)
Zelos opener Dynamite is an upbeat pop number with an infusion of funk that is addictive, and grips your attention the moment you hear it. I found myself bopping to the beat unconsciously within a few seconds of listening to the song. It talks about wanting a girl, so they appeal to her to have one dynamite day together to convince her. The song is a dance tune that gets you moving in no time.
Track 2- 늪 (Six Feet Under)
At first listen, Six Feet Under is not very catchy. However, the good thing is that it has a sound that grows on you. Six Feet Under talks about a suffocating love that the boys want to escape from. The style is more hip hop than pop, although it has an element of both. The rap part of the song helped to spice things up.
Track 3 – 손의이별 (Bad Bye)
Bad Bye is a mellow tune with soft vocals and some rap. The song talks about a love that has fizzled out. While the message was clear enough in the lyrics, the rhythm was confusing and hard to follow as it had too many highs and lows.
Track 4 – 다이너마이트 (Dynamite) (Inst.)
