We’re back with more memorable choreographies from girl groups in 2016. The girls outshined the boys this year in the odd department. Many of the dances were simple with hints of sex appeal and unforgettable formations. Continue reading for eight more memorable girl group choreographies in 2016. For part one of our list, see here.
Cosmic Girls (WJSN) – Secret
Rookie girl group Cosmic Girls has a spectacular stage presence with thirteen members in Secret. The routine starts off resembling a jewelry box with ballet moves, continuing the feminine moves throughout. The formations and line changes are great and use the entire stage. The line transitions are like magic, hiding and revealing the girls each time. There are lots of catchy hand gestures used in this solid choreography.
Sistar – I Like That
Sistar always deliver a hot, clean dance routine. In I Like That, these girls make their moves look elegant. The use of the skirts as a prop, taking them off and on, adds to this clean and seductive dance. Using the skirts as curtains to show off the girls’ legs makes this routine even hotter. SISTAR always delivers sexy choreography.
Momoland – JJan! Koong! Kwang!
With another out of the ordinary choreography is JJan! Koong! Kwang! by Momoland. Overall, this is a high energy, colorful, and girly routine. There are too many significant moves to point out but the simplicity and catchiness of each move that correlates with the title are great.
4Minute – Hate
Hate is a mid-tempo track that has many great moments. The ladies of 4Minute show a masculine side with some of the movements but remain feminine and sensual. The ease of the dance allows for the girls to add a lot of swag and attitude to the dark and edgy hip hop routine.
DIA – Mr. Potter
Mr. Potter has one of the most impressive openings with a magic trick. The choreography allows DIA to put a lot of attitude and sass in each move, especially during the chorus. The use of the suspenders as part of the choreography is a key point throughout. The routine is also equipped with some fancy footwork as well as cute and foxy moves.
Black Pink – Whistle
Whistle‘s choreography is fast paced with seductive choreography. This is a swag filled hip hop routine where the dance steps change when the music styling does as well. There are many memorable moments such as the jump roping move as well as the different moves they perform to signify whistling. One must have a certain aura about them to pull this routine off and Black Pink does not let us down.
Crayon Pop – Doo Doom Chit
The always eccentric Crayon Pop has done it again with Doo Doom Chit. The choreography is quite simple but that doesn’t deter from the creativity. Many of the steps are girlish, fun, and performed in sync. The ease of the choreography allows for fans to follow along especially with the ever so fun “doo doom chit” step.
Twice – TT
One of the most well known dances in 2016 has to be TT. Twice came back with a powerful one of a kind routine that was easy to follow along to. The “TT” move has to be one of the easiest and most fun things to perform. The choreography is cutesy but also sexy and has many quirky elements. The line formations and transitions should also be noted with many peel off choreographies.
